About This Game Eximius is a Strategic Action Shooter (FPS/RTS Hybrid) that focuses on squad-based combat.Eximius combines tactical First Person Shooter gameplay with high level strategic decision-making of a Real-time Strategy(RTS) game. Primarily in the offline skirmish mode, but I have also played 4 matches online. I think Eximius has a LOT of potential. As far as the gameplay mechanics and 30,000 foot view of what his could be- I think its the game I've been waiting to play for a very long time. I grew up in the RTS world (AOE, Empire Earth, AOM, C&C, etc) but always loved classic fps shooters as well. This game blends both of those elements and has alot of development to go. From what I have seen so far, I think the NPC AI and graphics will ultimately determine how high this game goes. In its current state, this is fun to play. Even when you run into an issue or bug you know that once fixed it will just be THAT much better. Eximius is a game I truly want the developers to get right....sooo I am going to support it and give my 2 cents as they release updates and ask for feedback. If you are on the fence about purchasing this game and love the RTS/FPS hybrid genre just do it. You will help further progress this game and most likely will love it. Frequent updates have been a plus and lots of content is coming before we close out 2018.. Really like the game so far, I'd love to have the ablilty though to set up a server with Friends, to simply play against each other.. The AI Officers in the offline mode are absolutely useless and get slaughtered without severe micro managing, they just run aimlessly into enemy fire and die immediatly. Also the Co-op PVE matches are crazy unbalanced and with no choice of difficulty you will always lose maybe we will see a balance patch soon. Avoid until the game gets the re-balance it needs. Every single Co-Op match is a huge failure due to the AI swarming far to quickly for players to react.. just dont do the tutorial its set on a dumb timer witch doesnt even help you under stand the game cuase the third one you wont be able to get past. i will be honest i really did not play for long, a few hours and i regret not playing for long because i know that i did not play the game to its max and i did not even play the online version but i do know how the offline worked and i hated it because it was way to hard as soon as you start you have your officers run to random stuff and they died more often then the grunts the enemy had already taken every money, power, and ammo generator and they had a army built up by the time i had captured A SINGLE money gen on top of that they attacked so quickly it was just stupid don't get me wrong im not saying the game sucks there are not many games the combine RTS and FPS which in (in my eyes) are amazing games its just that the bots were really hard and the officers don't have many commands that way they would listen so my final opinion it is worth buying to at least understand the game and see if you like it and if you don't you can always refund it. game is good!!! the shooting feels nice and the RTS is more in depth than I thought it would be, needs more players!!!. Good game. It is not worth the price of the game. But I think this will change since this game is in early access and they have good developers and there is constant updates. I recommend this game to people but you might want to refund it in tell it is out of early access.
